The top priority for the Sinfonieorchester Basel is its audiences, who enjoy varied programmes with outstanding soloists at its major symphony concerts, and experience the orchestra up close in the more intimate atmosphere of various chamber-music recitals. When principal conductor Ivor Bolton or one of the selected guest conductors raises his baton, the excitement is palpable. During renovation work at the Stadtcasino Basel, the orchestra’s principal venue, its audiences attend its concerts at a variety of temporary homes. The Sinfonieorchester Basel is proud that it can count on its audiences, and it looks forward to the opening of the Stadtcasino extension in the autumn of 2019.
