Founded by Edmond de Stoutz in 1945, the Zürcher Kammerorchester is now one of the leading orchestras of its type. Violinist Daniel Hope has been the orchestra’s Music Director since the 2016/17 season. The Zürcher Kammerorchester performs regularly in the ZKO-Haus, the Maag Areal, on the Pfauenbühne stage of the Schauspielhaus Zürich and in many churches. There are also frequent international tours. Its repertoire extends from the Baroque, through the Classical and Romantic periods to the present day. Its cooperation with musicians from other fields is especially worthy of note, as are its many children’s concerts.
